Southport Indoor Market's Birthday celebration took place on Saturday 6th July 2013. Art For Macmillan Cancer Support members were permitted use of a vacant stall in which to demonstrate their skills as artists, crafters and sculptors to raise money for the provision of care for cancer sufferes and their families.

Our demos are continuing throughout August and September and we would like to thank the market's management for this opportunity to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

An event combining live music, poetry reading and painting took place in Southport Market and Saturday 2th Nov to raise money for Macmillan.

Local singer/songwriter Emma Kennard and poet Malcolm Rimmer also performed live on Mighty FM's Saturday Morning Show hosted by DJ: Russ Broadbent .

Art For Macmillan would like to thank Russ for his hospitality: he made the two feel very at home, enabling them to give excellent performances. The event which followed in the demonstration area of the market was also a great success.
